Empowering Beekeepers, Protecting Nature

Sustainable Beekeeping

We partner with Ethiopian beekeepers to promote ethical, eco-friendly honey production, ensuring healthy bee populations and preserving biodiversity.

Stronger Communities

By providing training, fair wages, and market access, we help rural beekeepers increase incomes and build sustainable businesses.

Preserving Traditions

Our work supports centuries-old beekeeping methods, blending tradition with innovation to keep Ethiopia’s honey heritage alive.

From Pharmacist to Honey Advocate

Returning to Ethiopia after a decade in the U.S., I discovered the untapped potential of Ethiopian honey—from the silky white honey of Tigray to the bold dark honey of Bale. Seeing beekeepers struggle with limited access and outdated techniques inspired me to create Lal The Honey Company.

Every jar tells a story of tradition, purity, and impact.
